June 29, 200323 yr My Orlando Magic are lookin at gettin Lamar Odom. Actually, a few names they are lookin at are Odom, Olowikandi (i know I spelled that wrong), Juwan Howard, Speedy Claxton, and PJ Brown. I'd like to see us go for Juwan Howard or PJ Brown. I really would rather get a big man instead of a PG. Maybe I'm just counting on Reece Gaines to impact right away. Are there any Magic fans on this board who would like to discuss? I know there are a lot of Heat fans, and one Spurs fan, and one Wolves fan.

The Grizzlies got screwed in that trade. Anyways I am a big Magic fan. The thing we need most is a real good center, but there aren't any good free agent centers, Olowakandi sucks

Jerry West knows a lot more than you do... I'm just saying that Gooden looked awesome in the playoffs, and West didn't trade him because he didn't think he was going to be good. He traded him because he had 2 other talented power forwards.

June 29, 200323 yr Why did Jerry West go looney in this year's draft? The Grizz had 3 power forwards. One had to go. Jerry West was able to secure Mike Miller in exhange for one of thsoe power forwards and securing one of his swing spots. Give John Gabriel some credit. Jerry West does not always fleece other GMs. The others that are just as saavy are able to get good talent back in return. Drew Gooden will be a good player in this league. He will probably eventually emerge as a guy that gives you 15 and 10. Thats not bad. Lamar Odom has a world of talent...but has had the problems with weed. I would say half of the NBA players are on weed, they just dont get caught. In the right situation Odom would thrive. I wouldnt mind seeing him as a Spur. Kandi sucks...he is lazy and does not put the effort in...even in a free agency year. PJ Brown would be a very nice pickup for a team that needs a good defender and rebounder at the 4 spot. But dont expect a lot of scoring, you wont get that with PJ.

June 30, 200323 yr Author I think someone thinks of West as god. Just because someone makes one good deal doesnt mean they are the best. I mean Beinfest loses Millar, but is praised for his dealings in getting Willis. Everyone has good and bad dealings. I dont think we really need Odom...he pretty much plays the same thing as T-Mac. Olowakandi can rebound...which is what we need. Apparently we are being allowed to spend almost 5 mil because of Hill's injury. Thats pretty cool.
June 30, 200323 yr Author I hear Doc is a standup guy. I really like him. And of course every Magic fan likes T-Mac. Wooo! hehe. But he too, is a standup guy. What he did for one of the sniper victims was awesome. He also does a lot for charity.
July 2, 200323 yr we need odom. Grant hill is out. and odom can play alll three perimeter positions just like Hill.
