Sammy Sosa leads in career strikeouts. :lol

And like Dunn, Miguel Cabrera strikes out his fare share as well. I believe Cabrera has about 140 K's this year, but like Dunn, has a .380+ on base, hits 30+ home runs, and drives in 100+ runs a year. Both are studs, they just haven't exactly found the strike zone yet (granted, Dunn has a few years on Cabrera).

Younger players tend to strike out a lot more. Dunn and Cabrera will both cut down on their strikeouts over the next decade or so and will be battling out for the best player once Bonds steps down from the throne

You can drive in a run with a ground out, while you can't with a strikeout. Same thing with fly outs, except they don't count against your average since they're sacrifice flies.

Exactly... Putting the ball in play makes things happen. You can move runners over with deep fly balls and ground balls. By striking out, you're basically leaving it up to the next guy to drive a runner in with a hit.....It's the little things that win ballgames. I see we have a lot of people here that believe in the Earl Weaver theory... "Just get good pitching and wait for the 3-run homerun."
