Pavz,Phieps,and Penny the 3 P's didnt get the job done..... ohh not there Fault Entirely, cuz the f***ing BULL PEN didnt do theres ethier!!!!! Keep in mind when Penny left 2 more runs were given up when we had those runners on the cornors in the 9th we were down 4 runs wouldnt it have been easier to be down 9-7?????? BULL PEN FAILING YET again Blane Neal " shouldnt even be in the f***ing majors, men like Tommy Phelpis had to wait 10 years to make it to the show cuz they werent worthy"... how the f*** is Blane Neal Worthy??? as 4 jack...... listen Saturdays game Nate Bump is making his MLB DEBUI you do not call this guy up to get the job done "at the time was a close game" he was nervous and didnt even get the out he had to..... we got lucky cuz Keven Millar SUXS running on the basepads...... June 30, 200322 yr easy man. do you remember how many pitchers we used on friday? we had no bp for saturday and needed to get the most we could out of phelps, can't blame mckeon on that one buddy.

June 30, 200322 yr I don't blame Jack at all. He was able to motivate our players enough o have them score 8 runs in two innings in order to make that great comeback. As for the pitching situations, the games were salvable, but who could save them? He had to restrict certain pitchers because they had done too much work already. Don't waste the arms in this dead series. BTW, Pavano will be available for bullpen work since, I believe, his next start is skipped by the off day.

Also, it gives Willis another start before the all-star game since he would pitch this Wednesday against the Braves, next Monday night at the Cubs (hello ESPN?) and then the Sunday before the all-star game at Montreal.

That's the reason Jack decided to skip Pavano's start and let Willis pitch another start. It also allows the bullpen to get some rest. ESPN has the Fish-Cubs July 7th game pending Willis starting.

June 30, 200322 yr It's funny to see how a bad series have people talking about bad managing. This team pitching simply lacked any reliability this weekend, there is not much a manager can do about that when your pitcher decides that velocity and the radar gun are more important than pitching with intelligence. I have always said that Penny is not that much of an intelligent pitcher: (1) he thinks that he can get his way with a hitter everytime by throwing a 96 mph fastball rather than a 78mph curveball; (2) he losses concentration all the time; and (3) he is way to stubborn to accept advice. I sat yesterday to watch that horrible game and what did I see? A pitcher that only threw 92-96mph fastball to a team with great fastball hitters. The BoSox lineup can be intimidating, but good, smart pitching can always beat good hitting. The result? 6 HRs. Pavano was a victim of the "quicksand" effect, he had Damon with 2 strikes and ge gave up a hit. The second hitter, the same. No matter what he did, something went wrong, and it reached a point where he simply didn't know what else to do but rush the pitch to home. And they were all down-the-pipe fastballs, no movement at all. Another problem was the inability to finish off the hitter. And this you see it in the starting rotation (Pavano, Phelps, and Penny) as well as in the bullpen (Almanza, Levrault, Neal). How many times they had a hitter in 0-2 and gave up a hit? Our bullpen is miserable and I think either Pavano or Penny have to go. I have always said that it was a sad day when we couldn't get Colon for Penny. In reality, I would prefer staying with DLee than with Penny: he doesn't have any intelligence as a pitcher at all.

Penny had 1 bad game and ya right Ead Penny needs to understand that and hopefully this game should make him understand that..... as 4 pavz i neva really liked em... he is a STIFF dudez ERA 4.73 im shocked its not higher...... he is breaking down after 104 innings pitched... Id Rather have Tommy Phelps starting and move Pavz to the bull pen..... what do you say about that..... as 4 Jack, i was serious about that I ? everything he does... 4 Xample leaving Brad Penny in the MUTS game..... The Marlins didn't do Penny any favors tonight. He gave up only one earned run before he began to struggle in the sixth, but escaped that inning with an 8-2 lead. Penny hit for himself in the seventh, but his pitching struggles continued when he couldn't retire a batter in the bottom half of the inning. Penny's limit is about six innings, and anything beyond that is dangerous..... yesterday he didnt even make to 6 innings..... I dnt wanna get rid of him yet!!! i have hope
