Supposedly this debate is supposed to garner the same viewing audience that debate #1 recieved...60+ million viewers.

There have been too many incidents of "whooping" in the crowd.

Grow the hell up.

That being said, the fact that neither of these silly candidates can't come out and say that homo's deserve the right to marriage is sad. Shows how archaic American thinking can still be.

Unfortunately its political suicide at this point which says more about the public than anything.

Hey, since when is that mindset disallowed?

Bush was scoring points left and right in the first 20 minutes. Since that point, he's gotten increasingly whacky. The more off script the questions get, the more trouble he has. But they had a great game plan coming out in the beginning, while Kerry was putting me to sleep.

I disagree, I thought Kerry had was stronger in the first 20 minutes. The new kinder/friendler more charismatic Bush is just creepy. But, it's tough for me to agree with the guy giving tax cuts to companys who close shop to save money and go overseas. The only topics I saw stalemated were the stem-cell and abortion topics and the gay marriage topics.

The one point Bush brought up I thought was total b.s. was when he said to someone who lost their job they're going to free up more cash so you can get educated and work in the 21st century. Seriously, I'm in college, and I've been to community college. Academia is not for everyone. And to say to a 56 year old factory worker who lost his job and has to settle for something where he makes 13,000 less dollars and to tell him to get an education makes me sick.

4000 people per day coming across the border from Mexico? I did not know that.

Did they say 4,000 or 8,000? I thought they said 8,000.

Hmm, I just thought Kerry didn't say ANYTHING we hadn't heard in the past 2 debates during the first 20 minutes. It was just statistic after statistic, and I really don't think America is convinced by all these numbers. And Bush nailed him on that "litany of complaints" line. Kerry seemed bored to me, quite frankly. But when they got into new issues, he seemed to perk up. That's how I saw it anyway.

Bush's response to the jobs & income problems is to make sure everyone can read.

He is getting schooled on job and min wage. Not relating to the anxiety of common people..just telling them to get an education. :confused
