PSP or DS

Featured Replies

Technically, the PSP will be better, but with a price tag around $350-$400, I dont know how well it will sell. The N-Gage retailed for $300.00 and bombed. It still won't die all the way die...eh.

Anyway, the DS will retail for exactly $149.99 and at the Gamestop i work at, we have about 4 or 5 on reservation. Including mine.

The library for the PSP sounds much better, with this new Metal Gear ACID, and Need For Speed Underground(not to mention the ps2 like gfx!) It does seem like its going to kill the DS in the department of features. However, THIS IS SONY we're talking about, who is Notorious for using cheap parts for their hardware(the Ps2 lens...) but seeing as how the PSP will be so expensive, the parts they're using should be pretty good. SHOULD BE.. but it IS sony...

Nntendo, who has a track record for making quality products since learning from the NES, says the PSP's battery life will be pretty short(along the lines of 3-4 hrs) which would be ridiculous considering the DS and GBA SP has 8 hrs(sp With the light, w/o i believe its nearly double, correct me if im wrong) The DS will play GBA games which is a bonus, but not GBC or GB, but im eh about that, considering i dont even play GBA or GBC, hell i dont play GB games. But the DS has sparked my interest, as does this PSP.

PSP looks solid though I'm not sure if I buy either.

I probably won't buy either. Anyone have an idea on extra features like Bluetooth or anything?

Um...didn't they say the PSP was gonna cost $150-$200 without any of the other crap like microphones?

no, they never said that. Maybe a PSP without a screen and a battery.... :shifty

but in all seriousness...come on. The DS is obviously better for the price, but the PSP is better overall.

Same thing i'm thinking. I probably won't get either of them but the PSP does look nice.
