Encarnacion Odd-Man Out?

The only time I saw Miguel Cabrera play rightfield was in a park where all balls hit to the outfield end up in the seats.

But is a small improvement in his defense worth sticking him in left for the next 3 years (and maybe his entire career) and having to consider the arm strength for every outfielder in the bargain bin? Our options are already limited by the imbalance of the lineup and the payroll situation.

Barring Jason Stokes, I think Cabrera's going to be looked at as our first-baseman once Conine hangs it up.

I'm not advocating it, I'm just saying I've been hearing rumblings of this for a while, and he'd certainly give us premium production from a typically offense oriented position.
