Declined assignment to AAA from the Cards so he was released and they are now on the hook for his 900K salary...maybe we try him out in AAA? Might be an adequate innings eater for Penny if traded.

Thanks for up-date on Hermanson. While I hate to fill our bench or bull-pen with "discards," we do need relievers who can go more than one/third an inning. Hermanson can go a few innings. Do we have to go $900,000 for him? P>S> Remember Hermanson as an over-rated hot-dog when he was with us. Now, at age 30, maybe he has learned to pitch, or ready to learn.

Hero worship? what are you talking about? Anyway, if we trade Penny/Luis/Lee we are giving up on the playoffs so why not take a free 5th starter? I think this is a situation where a change of scenery (friendly confines of PPS) will help Dustin out. He may be washed up, but he has never had any serious arm injuries...just a bunch of nagging injuries that have kept him from performing at his peak. Just a suggestion....but your probably right. Who do you propose fill Penny's shoes if traded? Back to Phelps/Tejera?

He can help our bullpen.I think he is the right gu to put there to make the bullpen more solid than it as been. We just need Leveralt to pith good and Almanza to stop blowing games...I hope the Marlins have an intrest in him.
