July 5, 200322 yr Stiill don't trust Marlins ownership but I think they are now comitted to make a buck, based on performance, not just liquidation. I do sympathize with them, South Florida (nowhere in Florida!) is a good baseball venue. But, a winner breeds success. If they pull this off, they are doing very well!. Know we will show support. Lord knows, we've waited long enough, for a real team and not just a store-front, and we care.
July 5, 200322 yr If they can win tonight or tommorrow night, wow. I'll be impressed. If we can win this series, we will have beatin the Braves and Phillies, the Division and Wild Card leaders. That's good.
July 5, 200322 yr Author I'm scared as hell by Penny. All the talent. No production. (Tired of blaming pitching coaches!) If Penny can't win, and our bull-pen sucks, we are in trouble. Can be corrected. But, must be done now. At least an attempt. And if Penny screws up and still insists on not going to bull-pen, then trade his talented a** out of here.

July 5, 200322 yr I believe this ownership is in this to make money, they see the potential similar to what the Mariners had in the early 90's. It takes some investment, build some trust and connections, but will pay big dividends. Canada is a socialist society, that was a big obstacle in the way for the Expos. the Blue Jays do fairly well because Rogers (the cable comapny) owns them and uses them to make money on their cable channel. But Montreal just has too much red tape preventing anything for the Expos to do but move out. (Government subsidizes Expos every year!)
July 5, 200322 yr Penny might get traded but we will trade away very good talnet that still hasnt shown us what he gots. He is getting near that. He has great stuff and in my opinion shouldnt get traded but if he does we will get some good things in return. We need to win this game and get nearer to the Wild card. The Dodgers have been playing horrbile so we have a chance....
