December 3, 200421 yr it must lonely at the bottom of denial river as Iowafan puts it. lets start a pool of when the first giants fan will show up to defend barroid with some lame excuse. I put myself down for 12/3/04 at 1 pm.
December 3, 200421 yr dude, you know you are asking for it.... especially if something leaks out about Sheffield just sayin..
December 3, 200421 yr Author dude, you know you are asking for it.... especially if something leaks out about Sheffield just sayin.. 625944 not really. i have the name sheff in my name cuz hes my favorite player. should something leak out it would be the stuff we know already about the cream.either way, i would not be as big a homer and be in denial of it like mays24 and the other giants homers on this board. i would admit it and take it.

December 3, 200421 yr Im guessing Giants fans are pumping up roids (If they haven't already back in 2001) as we speak.. Then they are gonna come and kill us all..
December 3, 200421 yr This really isn't something we all have sort of known before. I think if you're a Giants fan you still gotta stick up for the guy. A real fan stands by their guys, through thick and thin.
December 3, 200421 yr Alright, let's not blow this out of proportion. I've seen comparisons to Giambi and you cannot compare the two. Giambi injected himself, meaning he was using hardcore steroids....Bonds used this "cream" that Sheffield took as well.... So for Sheff-lover over here to say anything about Bonds is kind of funny. Bonds admitted that he used these substances in the clubhouse in front of everyone cause he thought it was legit stuff. He never took anything or did anything behind closed doors. He didn't say that he unknowingly took them because someone gave them to him without him noticing. He knows he applied this damn cream, but he didn't think it was a steroid. That's all..... If you're coming down on Bonds for this, you gotta come down on Sheff too....Same sh**.
December 3, 200421 yr You're right Bonds must be telling the truth, its not like he has lied to the media or the public for the last 2 years. He's a real victim, let me tell you.....

December 3, 200421 yr Alright, let's not blow this out of proportion. 626011 http://espn.go.com/ 626016 What do you expect? This is the biggest athlete in sports right now. The poster child of a lot of things. And there have been rumors for years about this and now it is true. And if you think it ends here for Bonds you are kidding yourself. They were saying on ESPN that there was evidence that links Bonds to the real stuff and if the gov't thinks they can prove it they might try him on purgury, what Chris Webber has been being tried on.
December 3, 200421 yr I'm not a Giants fan, but I am a fan of Barry. First of all, if Sheff got off scott-free, Barry will get the same treatment. Bonds simply used a cream that he thought was an athletic rub (like Sheff addmitted to), he never had a negative drug test (and he's been tested anonymously twice...if the media can get grand jury testimony, they can get his "anonymous" drug test too). Not to mention (and this is the most important thing too) he admitted to using the cream while it was still allowed by baseball. The man who should be burned at the stake is Jason "I stick it in my ass" Giambi, not Bonds. They've tried and tried and tried to get something to lambast Barry about, but they can't. What Giambi and Jones did was far more egregious: Marion Jones won a gold "allegedly" on 'roids, and Giambi admitted to knowingly injecting steroids. But I still say, steroids in baseball are the same as a corked bat: the perceived advantage is much greater than the actual advantage.
December 3, 200421 yr TSwift "But I still say, steroids in baseball are the same as a corked bat: the perceived advantage is much greater than the actual advantage. " Wake up. Steriods are a HUGE advantage, specialy for power hitters like Bonds, Giambi. In addition, you recover faster. There are so many advantages it is crazy. How about this? "Do you know why your testosterone level would have been -- according to the report -- higher than the level, the normal range indicated for males 29 to 49 years old?" "I don't understand this piece of paper," Bonds replied. Elevated testosterone levels can indicate steroid use, according to medical experts. He is an steroid user and lying sack of sh**
December 3, 200421 yr But I still say, steroids in baseball are the same as a corked bat: the perceived advantage is much greater than the actual advantage. 626019 No... Steriods have a much greater advantage. They can increase your muslce mass two-fold. They help incredibly in the capacity of hitting the ball further and being to swing the bat faster and allowing you to sit on pitches more. You should read the FAQ on steriods on the ESPN MLB part of the site. Medical experts, from places like Harvard Med School are quoted. It's not comprehensive but it addresses the questions that everyone wants answered about the case at hand. Giambi won't get anything, neither will Bonds or Sheffield. What is most entertaining though, is how Bonds fans can make the claim that the steriods didn't help Barry...with absolutely no evidence, circumstantial or what not....yet when it came to Barry using steriods all the evidence out there wasn't nearly enough to link Bonds with steriods... Bonds used steriods, his performance skyrocketed at an age where it's never been done... Explain that outside the world of steriods? What else do you have? The workout regimen he's been using for 12 years now? He admitted he didn't do anything different, and it was just 2001...this wasn't one fluke season. As far as Bonds not knowing he used them, who knows but his legacy is no tainted as should rightly be.

December 3, 200421 yr 1) Do you believe Barry Bonds when he says he did not know the clear substance and cream he received from Greg Anderson were steroids? 84.5% No 15.5% Yes
