December 11, 200421 yr I wish i could go but i wont be here. Id die for their autographs, theyre awsome.
December 11, 200421 yr I went to the Monte Irvin signing today, did anyone else go? 632515[/snapback] I would have gone if I didn't already have two of his autographs. Did you get a chance to talk to him? I'm sure he would have some interesting stories to tell from his days in the Negro Leagues and with the NY/San Fran Giants.

The owner of the store where the signing was at was rushing everybody to keep the line moving (even though there weren't that many people there).
December 12, 200421 yr was it Rich Altman? that guy is a serious d*ck They do some pretty nice signings though, I went to the Earl Weaver one back in August.

I disagree with the idea that Altman is a bad guy, I've bought a bunch of my HOF autographs from him at good prices. They also have excellent prices on baseball cards. I bought my box of 2003 BDP there, and pulled the Rickie Weeks auto refractor. They are one of the few places in town that holds autograph signings with Marlins players. I enjoy taking trips up from Miami to that place, since they have so much memorabilia.

This one lady took a picture of Monte Irvin and the guy flipped out and almost kicked the woman out of his store because he said the flash from the camera hurt Monte Irvin's eyes. It was a pretty weird situation.
December 12, 200421 yr I hate paying for autographs.... I've had all my success in person at games and spring training.
