I don't know how relevant the point is anymore anyway... catholics get divorced, "thou shalt not kill" doesn't apply in many situations, etc. Unless you're part of a very orthodox religion you've probably already reconciled that strict adherence to your beliefs these days is not an easy thing. (not to say that it doesn't happen though)

We all have forgotten that although christianity had an important role in the formation of america's laws and shaping moral ideals, it is not a stand alone. In fact, one of the things that christianity preaches is about how god created us with free will. That seems to contradict homosexuality arguments also found in other sections of the bible. What im saying is torture needs to be redefined and furthermore if by brutally torturing and killing one individual I can save 100s then you better believe I'll do it. Its a thin line and too complex to discuss on an online message board. But aside from that what is torture and what needs to be done to save lives. Too many people like protecting the terrorists, enemies, criminals etc. An analogy is as follows. If you're family has been kidnapped and the only way to find them before they die is to beat it out of a captured kidnapper, would you do it? Thats the question, and I myself find it difficult to answer, even though my inclination is to say yes.

a resounding "hell yes"

Didn't Timothy McVeigh bomb the Federal Building in Oklahoma because he felt it was best for America because he was very anti-centralized government?

McVeigh was also microchiped and said the government was planning on doing it to all soldiers in the armed forces. I just read in TIME magazine that they were going to implament a GPS microchip in all soldiers in the marines and army.

That has nothing to do with this..

I dunno about this whole Abu Ghraib...all i Do know is: There were prisioners of war who were tourtured by US soldiers. Humiliated, beaten and electrochocked like a Charlie. Christ, these guards should be sent to the same prison and have it done to them.
