with superstars like Delgado,Conine,Leiter on the team...will this help attract more stars to the Marlins next season? especially if we win the world series again this year...what are your thoughts?

Conine is a star?

Its all about money, who offers more money.

Yes Conine is a super star lol.

And Leiter use to be a star.

Conine isn't a star outside of South Florida and Leiter is retiring after this season.

What's going to attract stars to the Marlins is Cabrera, Lowell, and Delgado having a monster season and winning the World Series proving to the world that 2003 was no fluke.

Just look at how things turned around, last month we were trying to get David Delucci but he didn't want to sign with us because he thought our club was going nowhere and now we're the favorites. If AJ does leave and we don't resign him long term after next year, having Delgado locked up will certainly make it easier for us to sign a free agent pitcher of equal quality to that of AJ.

Yep thats right. This team currently has its star players (except burnett) locked up for a few more years. So other FA's will want to come here to comepte. however, b/c AJ may be one of the prmeier FA pitchers next offseason depnding of course on his 05 season, he may be out of our price range altogether and we'll have to settle for someone else

Aren't all the A's (former and present) pitchers gonna be FAs in 2005?
