MalMan got it.....The CANGIMAN John Cangelosi pitched a scoreless inning in the 1997 W.S.

I said it first! :(

Well, the only players named John on the 97 team were Cangelosi and Wehner. Wehner didnt play in the ws, not sure if he was even on the roster, and Cangelosi only appread as a pinch-hitter in games 1, 6, and 7, and he never pitched in the WS.

it might have been in the Playoffs than, my bad :hat

That was in the regualr seaon, not in the World Series. That happened on July 21 against the Padres:

July 21, 1997: At Miami, Wally Joyner is 3-for-4 with two walks, to lead the Padres to a 10?2 gaffing of the Florida Marlins. Joyner singles, doubles, triples, scores twice, and swipes two bases, including home on the back end of a double steal. The Marlins finally turn to John Cangelosi, who becomes the first position player to pitch for the Marlins. The outfielder walks one in a scoreless ninth inning and retires Joyner on a fly ball.

Dont try to fool the InfoMan :p

Brandon Duckworth (anwser to my question)

i knew that, just wanted to make sure everybody else knew it :shifty

bla, oh yeah, ive mentioned this before, i didnt follow the 97 team hardcore, not even in the playoffs, in fact i fell asleep midway through game 7 of the WS (lol, dont hate me guys).....so i dont know as much as i should about the 97 team...so who were the 5 starters at the beginning of the season for them????

I'm positive he didn't start the season as a starter. He came up in the middle of the season.
