July 14, 200323 yr Well, the only players named John on the 97 team were Cangelosi and Wehner. Wehner didnt play in the ws, not sure if he was even on the roster, and Cangelosi only appread as a pinch-hitter in games 1, 6, and 7, and he never pitched in the WS. it might have been in the Playoffs than, my bad :hat

July 14, 200323 yr *John Cangelosi 34 1 0.00 0 0 0 0 0 0 1.0 MalMan got it.....The CANGIMAN John Cangelosi pitched a scoreless inning in the 1997 W.S. That was in the regualr seaon, not in the World Series. That happened on July 21 against the Padres: July 21, 1997: At Miami, Wally Joyner is 3-for-4 with two walks, to lead the Padres to a 10?2 gaffing of the Florida Marlins. Joyner singles, doubles, triples, scores twice, and swipes two bases, including home on the back end of a double steal. The Marlins finally turn to John Cangelosi, who becomes the first position player to pitch for the Marlins. The outfielder walks one in a scoreless ninth inning and retires Joyner on a fly ball. Dont try to fool the InfoMan
