August 19, 200322 yr Laz this is Lowell's original injury, he has not hurt himself again. This thread was rather old and was brought back to life a little while ago. And for the Superman haters, eat crow

August 19, 200322 yr Author Cabs' abilty to hold his own at the dish has been a pleasant surprise. I'm not ashamed to admit I was a card-carrying member of the "Send Cabs down" club before the deadline, but now when he's up I know he'll at least put up a battle, unlike some other un-named player who might be really tall and play a position in the infield and K alot. BUT... There is still one glaring problem with Miguel Cabrera that no one in the Marlins' organization has noticed as he came up through the system.... Miguel Cabrera is deaf. When it comes to hearing Frenchy call him off in left-center Cabrera is like Curtis Pride Jr. out there. Maybe the LF crowd needs to act like the Alabama fans in Forrest Gump and all call Cabs off at the same time whenever there is a can of corn to left-center from now on.

The problem is, Superman speaks spanish and El Heroe speaks english. They don't understand each other that well off the bat. Throw in the crowd noise and Cabs' inexperience in the OF, and you have a work in progress. But the two are learning each other's language and that trio in OF should be great for years to come.
August 19, 200322 yr Author Yeah, you are right. I can understand how hard it would be to pick up that highly complex "I got it" in English.
August 19, 200322 yr Nope he shouldnt....that'll send out a bad message to him and who are we going to put in left? One of our bench players? No...
August 19, 200322 yr Yeah, you are right. I can understand how hard it would be to pick up that highly complex "I got it" in English. I'd like to see you not speak 10 words of english but still be able to understand your CF's calls.
August 19, 200322 yr Yeah, you are right. I can understand how hard it would be to pick up that highly complex "I got it" in English. The original New York Mets had that problem. Felix Mantilla would always run over Richie Ashburn in short center. So finally one game, on a short fly to left-center, Ashburn shouted "Yo lo tengo! Yo lo tengo!" Mantilla stopped short but Ashburn got run over by the left fielder, Frank Thomas.
August 19, 200322 yr Nope he shouldnt....that'll send out a bad message to him and who are we going to put in left? One of our bench players? No... dude, this thread is from 1 month ago.... no need to still answer the question
