Cabrera to go?

Whad'ya think?

As the season progresses I've come to the realization that it's time for Miggy to go back down, or at least out of the starting line-up. The games mean too much at this time of year and his lack of production (.230 - 4HR - 14 RBI) just can't be allowed.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great talent and will probably be a great player very soon. But at this point I'd much rather see Fox or even H-Worth back in the line-up.

Send him down and bring him back up if/when the Fish are out of it or when the rosters expand to 40.

At this point I'd rather see Fox at 3B. The last third of the order is an exercise in absolute futility right now with Sea Bass struggling. Pitching to the 7, 8 and pitcher's spot is a mere formality for the opposition.

With Lowell out, we need a good glove at third, he has to stay up. Lowell will be back soon, but even after that, Cabs must stay up pending certain trades/aqcuisitions.

Hey Fillet, your team has a no-hitter through six, tonight is a night of miracles.

Tigers getting no-hitter through six, Bako nailing Pierre and Castillo in the same inning. Better watch out for lightning and get those lotto tickets.

Cape nice pick. Wow look at the stadium no holes no be found. Brings back some nice memories.

Cabs is good defensively, his bat will improve with time. The Cubs pitching staff aren't exactly the best place to get hits off.

Pierre was out , but Castillo was safe ..

Castillo was out, for the record...

Cabs needs to go to AAA IMO...as Das said, a contender doesn't have the luxury to develop talent in the majors...that's what the minors are for...I'd like to see Fox at third and a Donnells or even a Medrano or Hooper (both of whom will probably be in the bigs next year) on the bench...

Even if Lowell comes back I'd like to see Holly in left...

Guys, you are overreacting. Cabs has been playing porrly, but not to the extent you say. Like Jack said, Brett struggled at first, but a little while after he was unstoppable.

Sending Cabs down may not be the right choice at the moment.

I'm not saying he's struggling a lot...

But for a CONTENDING team you can't afford to develop him in the major leagues.

If Hollandsworthless proves he can make an impact in the lineup while Lowell is out, then I would send Cabrera back down when Lowell gets back. If not, keep him here and send Todd back to the bench.

I would rather see Banks starting than TH...

But I want Cabs up.

I don't care if it's H-Worth or Fox, but someone already at the MLB level needs to take Cabs' spot. It just ain't working, and the .225 average proves it.

Ship him out. Oh, and trade D. Lee while you are at it...

(Sorry, couldn't help it,. it's been two days since I extolled the worthlessness of D. Lee and had to get it out.) :p

CABERRA was better when he was with Minnesota

GO DIME

good you be a biger dumbass?

Seriously dude, shut up.
