I have no idea where to put this thread :confused

Well I am going to a Marlins ST game at night and I want to bring my sisters camera but she says it doesnt work at night. I was thinking :headscratch with all those lights at a stadium would it be okay? My digital camera doesnt work at night but at a stadium it does.

Do you think that low light film may help alittle?

Thanks in Advance :)

Well, my digi cam has a night feature, but it sucks because you have to be real steady for it not to come out blurry. I have a landscape feature that is used more for subjects at a far distance. It takes the pictures real bright but if you're not careful, they come out blurry. Landscape uses no flash, btw.

Examples:

Here's a picture taken using Landscape without movement:

Try a low light film. If you want to bring your digi cam, test all the different settings, if you have any, and see which one works better.

Thanks!

My sister has a really good camera. Not sure what it is called but she uses it for photography.

Her camera has about 5 diff setings (still, movement etc:)

i'd say the stadium is pretty well lit

:lol

It's an awesome camera.

Holly, have you done a search on your sister's camera to see if anyone has any tips for using it at night?

Keep it steady. Balance it on a seat in front of you, get one of those mini-tripods or figure out a way to balance the sucker.

Test out the different modes it has before you actually want to take a pic to make sure you get what you want when you need it.

My sister has a Cannon EOS Rebel XSn camera. It has a 300mm zoom.. whatever that means :lol

Thats the camera I used :)

I found something about my camera.

EOS 3000N (EOS REBEL XSN) [not sold in Japan] introduced 2001

Replacement for the EOS 3000. Additional features include E-TTL metering with EX Speedlites, manual focusing point selection, display of in-focus focusing point, Night Scene in PIC modes, function settings (red-eye reduction, beeper, multiple exposure, autoexposure bracketing, and silver metallic finish Sold in Asia as the EOS 66. Night Scene in PIC modes- does anyone know what this means? PIC modes? :confused

Tip: Less light means more time for the shutter to be open. You also need film for low light conditions. The packaging usually has a candle or moon on it or something to that effect.

i'm getting this camera:

Kodak EasyShare 4.0-Megapixel Zoom Digital Camera

Model: CX7430

i'm really lucky because my dad is selfish and would rather buy me my own than let me use his :lol

Use smaller numbers which are larger fractions of a second.

i.e. 1 equals 1/1 sec.

2 equals 1/2 sec.

150 equals 1/150 sec.

Where do you see the numbers? This is not my camera so I dont know anything about this.

It is small, so I am not sure if the camera has it, but it should either be on the dial or on the digital display if your camera is not on automatic. However, it is better to keep the camera on automatic.
