Posted March 24, 200519 yr They're going to continue to play at that ballpark, making additional renovations in the coming years, planning improvements in the surrounding area. The Red Sox want to plan something big for 2012, the centennial year of Fenway. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/reds...rings_attached/ http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view...articleid=74832
March 24, 200519 yr The Green Monster is now a foot taller due to the new field they installed. Anyways, the Red Sox are taking the right path. It would be a mistake to get rid of this park. It's nice to see the Red Sox are taking the correct path. I would like something similar done to Yankee Stadium so it would look some like it did in the 50's. It was a mistake when the Tigers left Tiger Stadium and it will be a mistake when the Yankees leave Yankee Stadium.
March 24, 200519 yr F**k the Red Sox!! Good for baseball though 719572 F**k the Yankees!!!
March 24, 200519 yr F**k the Red Sox!! Good for baseball though 719572 f*** the Yankees!!!!
March 24, 200519 yr It was a mistake when the Tigers left Tiger Stadium and it will be a mistake when the Yankees leave Yankee Stadium. 719503 Tiger Stadium was a different story. I don't think it was constructed nearly as well as Fenway. It was really falling apart when the Tigers left it. The same thing is happening to Wrigley currently.
March 24, 200519 yr I think the Tigers leaving actually benefited them. That stadium is gorgeous and is a retro-stadium like Camden Yards is. They did a marvelous job on it.
March 24, 200519 yr Agreed. The Tigers couldn't have lasted much longer at Tiger Stadium, as evidenced by the 2003 season.
March 24, 200519 yr I love Comerica. It's one of my favorites. I'm just saying the Tigers leaving Tiger Stadium could have been avoided if the team and city had put more money into renovating and preserving it. The great stadiums that are still around should be preserved for future generations.

March 24, 200519 yr F**k the Red Sox!! Good for baseball though 719572 F**k the Yankees!!! 719604 Thats way more like it. The R.S are okay, I loved the way they beat the Yanks. :thumbup
March 25, 200519 yr A full toilet has also been added to replace the urinal that stood in the tunnel leading back to the clubhouse. Now is this really news-worthy? Come on now.
March 25, 200519 yr Getting rid of Fenway would be like getting rid of Pittsburgh Pirates. It doesn't really effect anything but you just get rid of something that historical.
March 25, 200519 yr The new Fenway wouldnt be the end of the world, since all the dimensions and the green monster would remain the same But the Sox made the right move staying put
March 25, 200519 yr Sadly, the Red Sox's most endearing tradition was done away with last October. 719780 Now this is getting old.
March 25, 200519 yr Maybe this will cheer you up... F**k the Yankees? 719832 F**k the Yankees!!!
