Marlins ressigned INF Wilson Delgado and OF Mark Little to minor league camp.

Delgado can hit at least as well as Lenny Harris and is also of use on defense, but that just doesn't matter. He'll return if the Marlins eventually need another middle infielder.

To be fair, Conine can play third and Lenny is a warm body.

I don't know about Easley backing up short. He has a poor arm and barely any range. Guess that makes Aguila our pinch-runner.

 

 

That's it. 25 guys on the active roster. The 5 starters. 6 relievers minus Reidling. 7 everyday position players. Conine, Encarnacion, Easley, Aguila, Treanor. Harris, Moehler, Bump.

That makes sense considering Lenny Harris has been tearing it up this spring.

Damn, after seeing Mark Little play tonight, I was hoping he would make the team.

Interesting that we only have 12 position players on the 25 man roster right now. Lenny Harris has not officially been added to it. Perhaps they are holding out for a trade?

 

Also there are only 11 pitchers on the 25 man roster. Who is left that hasn't been sent down or placed on the DL?

Harris will be on the team as long as he signs the 45-day waiver, which gives us 13 position players: Delgado, Castillo, Gonzo, Lowell, Cabs, Pierre, Enc, Conine, Aguila, Easley, Harris, LoDuca, Treanor.

 

Also, there are 12 pitchers on the roster, assuming Moehler also signs the waiver: Beckett, Leiter, Burnett, Willis, Valdez, Perisho, Jones, Alfonseca, Bump, Moehler, Mecir, Mota.

Moehler hasn't been officially added either.
