Outside pitch, looks like he chose the right sport.

They had some Papa Johns executive come out and throw out the pitch and everyone was like "what the hell, where is Dan?" then they showed this badass Dan Marino montage video and introduced him.

Marino's first pitch: Dan Marino, who has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year, tossed out the first pitch Tuesday.

 

The former Dolphins quarterback has a statue in his honor outside the stadium. He was warmly cheered Tuesday afternoon.

 

"I figure he is going to get the best ovation than all of us," said third baseman Mike Lowell, a lifelong Dolphins fan. "What better person to throw out the first pitch in this city, in this stadium?"

 

"I used to watch him on TV a lot," Marlins manager McKeon said. "He wasn't bad."

Not only did he throw a nice fastball with movement to LoDuca, he made a pretty nice pass to Andre Dawson who caught it right at the backstop. :thumbup

For one thing we can be sure, he was the best pitcher on the field not on the Marlins' roster.

Guys Marino is it in this town. He gets the loudest applause when he goes to heat games. He is the God of So Fla sports

Call me crazy, but I think they should have someone somewhat related to the Marlins throw out first pitch.
