Telling Statistic

Featured Replies

It is only the 3rd game of the year, and I am not saying that the Marlins are back to where they were last year. However, they had 32 baserunners in 22 innings and managed 3 runs. You cannot give all of the praise to the Braves staff for that statistic. At least a healthy part of that is poor hitting.

or poor coaching (see: hitting coach)

Or a lack of extra-base hits...it is tough to string alot of hits together against guys like Hampton and Hudson...

It's a bit early to draw any conclusions. Yet it doesn't look nice, and looks an awful lot like 2004.

It is way too early...I'm sure you can find plenty of two-game stretches like this in 97 and 03 where the team hit into DPs or stranded runners...it happens for everyone during the season.

it happens for everyone during the season.
