April 11, 200521 yr Juan Encarnacion appears to be back in his 2003 form and swinging the bat well. 737466 You mean the year he had that awesome .313 OBP and .759 OPS? Juan Encarnacion is only 29 and could still be improving his numbers. 737466 Really.... gotta love 29 year old prospects. FYI, a player's best season usually comes at age 27. And that's a FACT. If we could sign him to a four year deal worth on average for $5 million a season, he would a great bargain. 737466 This has to be some kind of joke. P.S. I think Lowell will have a monster if my MVP 2005 game is correct. 737466 Allow me to steal a quote from one of my all-time favorite movies: "Mr. Madison, what you just said is one of the most insanely, idiotic things that I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent reponse were you even close to anything that can be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."
April 11, 200521 yr Quite simply: If Juan continues his level of production, he prices himself out of our plans. If Juan drops off, Hermida takes his place. This is Juan's swan song regardless, so let's enjoy it while it lasts and hopefully he can get a big contract somewhere else.

April 11, 200521 yr juan encarnacion is still in his prime. can he have a career year this year? you betcha. will he be a marlin next year? very highly unlikely. and his production means little. its going to be a fun year, juan isnt getting an extension though, especially for 4 years, thats simply insane. and to base anything in real life off a video game is insanely stupid.
April 11, 200521 yr If Enc has the type of year where the Marlins get a first round pick as compensation for another team signing him as a free agent, I'll be happy. 737724 Quite possible. The Elias rankings that determine the class type of every player is largely dependent on playing time, batting average, HRs and RBIs. Enc's 2003/2004 ranking placed him in the type B category (1 first rounder). That shouldn't be too hard to repeat... or better :mischief
April 11, 200521 yr Why are you people paying this clown any attention? 737929 yeah the next time this guy posts just ignore the thread he is a moron and he'll never come back and defend his point of view
