It's good to have a clutch veteran like Jeff Conine on your team. Up to now, Conine hasn't done much but he always is clutch in the second half of the season.

Keep Conine, and pray for Spooneybarger.

obviously schools out, again I'm NOT in favor of trading him, BUT if he goes to management saying he would like to play somewhere else to play more like Baltimore. Do you honor his wishes and trade him. of course he's not going to go public with his displeasure of not playing and wanting a trade...so again its just a thought

While I don't know Conine personally, I highly doubt he would want to go elsewhere just to find slightly more playing time. Remember he and his family reside in Florida. I recall back when Conine was playing well here in Baltimore he would often say that although he liked the Orioles he would still welcome a trade to the Marlins. He doesn't strike me at all as an individual that would want to pick up and leave just because he isn't getting sufficient playing time. He's a classier guy than that and I imagine he will continue to be a part of the Marlins organization even after he retires as a player.

Thank you thats what I'm looking for

I don't like it, remember, we're not even a full month into the season, and so far we've been pretty fortunate regarding off-days. Come June or July, Conine's versatility and ability to spell Delgado at first, Cabrera in left and Encarnacion in right (if Conine isn't starting in right by then) will be invaluable.

Willingham for a reliever makes a little more sense at the moment, but I don't think we need to make a trade just yet.

I would like to put money on the fact that enc will not finish this year with us. I just have this feeling that hes going to be our top trade bait come dealdine time. We'll tarde him to a team that needs an OFer for w/e it is we need at that time.

I would prefer to see Conine retire in a Marlins uniform.
