first off I'm not willing to do this unless Niner feel he needs to go to get playing time. the O's are looking for a 1B rumored to be linked to Todd Helton.

Marlins trade Niner back to the O's for Steve Kline?

I know Kline has 13.00 ERA right now but he had 1.79 with the Cards

The salaries are equal Niner making 3 mil while Kline is making 2.5 mil

We need another lefty in the bully and with 6 fingers going down till June we might need another arm in that bully...especially a lefty

just a thought

I'd rather have a super-sub like Conine and let him finish his career in Florida, than the oft-overrated "lefty specialist." I'll take a pass.

No thanks. Besides being the face of this franchise, Conine is worth more than a beleagured reliever.

Not only that but Conine is the super duper insurance policy, if Delgado, Lowell, ENC, Cabs or even if JP were to get injured. Who would you rather come in and fill a spot Chris Aguila or Jeff Conine?

I understand but Niner is not a young pup also he might want to push a trade to play everyday.

We should keep Niner. He would provide us with some insurance in case of injury.

Niner would have just as much difficulty getting playing time in Baltimore.

Both World Championship teams had Mr. Marlin on them. Maybe he means more than some of you think.

NO WAY! Let Niner play with the Fish for 1 or 2 more years.....let him finish his career here.

1 or 2 more years?.... just as long as he likes the bench

How the heck would he play everyday in Baltimore with that lineup??

It's hard to think of any club that 9ner could play everyday for let alone the Baltimore lineup.

The Cubs would play him everyday in left field over the Dubose/Hairston platoon......

*waits for cry to trade Niner for LaTroy Hawkins and make him into a setup man for Mota*

well i heard about a trade rumor in which we were to get jd drew, eric gange, ceaser izturis, hee seop choi and alex cora from the dogers in return for delgado, mota, gonzalez and encarnacion i dont like the looks of this trade

Throw in a spot-starter or third catcher and you got a deal. :banghead

What? Enc had a nice little run but he still has terrible at bats and has looked like the Enc of old the last few games. He refuses to hit to opposite field.. I'd much rather have Conine start. Of course, thats my opinion.

obviously schools out, again I'm NOT in favor of trading him, BUT if he goes to management saying he would like to play somewhere else to play more like Baltimore. Do you honor his wishes and trade him. of course he's not going to go public with his displeasure of not playing and wanting a trade...so again its just a thought
