May 1, 200521 yr Hell, I remember not too long ago that Teal Shadow was trying to tell us he wanted the Marlins out of the state all together, now it's he wants the Marlins to stay at Pro Player so he has more money for the Dolphins...which is it? I'd really appreciate someone proving me wrong with factual evidence, not oddly written metaphors or simply calling me a :censored . I'm not even saying I'm right, I'm just saying I see no reason to give all of this to Wayne, especially with my knowledge of what's been going on. 760568 What? when have I said I wanted the Marlins out of the state. You must have me mistaken for someone else. Staying at the Pro? Why would I want them to stay to keep lining that man's pockets...sorry your confused 760573 By he, I was referring to Huizenga, I'd never give you credit for doing anything meaningful for the location of the franchise. And, edcanes, we've gone back and forth on this issue heavily once before, I'm beyond positive it was you that I had the back and forth with. You've had a vendetta against Wayne for a long time. I'm not trying to defend him, but your conspiracy theory lacks a little something called facts.

I'm not a Huizenga apologist, or a PR man, I'm simply saying your argument borders on inane considering you have zero facts, but as you so "eloquently" put it: just b/c he's covered he's tracks doesn't mean its not true . Well, I have a fact, Jeff Atwater gets big time donations from Huizenga, I know because I've met Huizenga with Senator Atwater (who happens to be a good friend of my family) yet Senator Atwater is in favor of this proposal, and if this guy (who represents the all important Broward/Palm Beach county demographic) is in Huizenga's contribution camp, and his (Huizenga's) treacherous tentacles reach so far, why hasn't he killed support in the region this affects among people on his "payroll." Secondly, Huizenga never said that he would let them back, there is speculation that with Wayne building the "sports world" next to the stadium, it would benefit both him and the Marlins to negotiate an amenable lease so the Sports world would only go unused in the months of February and March, the presence of the Marlins gives the restaurants/hotels/stores an almost year round "tenant." Huizenga never said he'd let them back, a lot of this hinges on the proposed "permanent" SuperBowl sites. Thirdly, you've yet to provide anything even remotely resembling a marginally put together fact. When ever something goes wrong you run to blame Wayne, but last year, Wayne didn't kill the proposal, it was the bungling of Samson who went up there guns and mouth a blazing without so much as a blueprint for the proposed stadium...he simply put his hand out and expected to find it filled. This year, if the bill does in fact fail, it will be because it reeks of too much pork. Hypocritical considering the two biggest opponents represent districts with professional sports franchises who have received state help (the Bucs, Lightning, DRays and Jags), but not unwarranted considering people don't want to see their tax dollars go to a district other than their own. I'm not trying to defend Wayne, I beg someone to prove me wrong with a fact (since Teal Shadow has proven, through his responses, that he can't), but until then, this is just poor planning on the part of the Marlins, knowing that they're fighting an uphill battle, yet they don't change their plan dramatically.

Nowhere in that passage did I make a reference to you specifically. B) If you are saying we differ on our passions and are hinting at the fact that I am not passionate about the Marlins, you are sadly mistaken sir, as usual. I am just a realist and in this great country of America, I am using my rights to enjoy the ability to support two different teams from two different sports in my own city. Sorry you can not feel the same way, but do not downgrade, belittle and degrade others for doing so.

Samson said he tried to work with HH on rent and he was told no. He asked about softening the lease terms on what he referred to as "exclusives", things totally in HH's control - parking rates and this year's increase, signage revenue sharing, corporate sales (HH refused to allow them to try and sell advertising, marketing tie-ins, corporate sponsorships, seating, to a laundry list of large corporate accounts that the Dolphins do business with and want to keep exclusively). Samson said, on the record that at every turn HH said "no" (he said the word "no" in a disparaging way, to deliver the message that the HH guys were dismissive at every turn). The only thing the HH guys would say is "we want you out of here". (my comment - what they really wanted was the Marlins out of South Florida.) This is almost a year old. The old proposition is dead, but it wasn't even definitively met with Huizenga's opposition, all it was, at the time, was a demand that the team leave the stadium. Now, a year later, Wayne has decided that he's going to build a sports mega-complex next to the stadium, the Dolphins would only be there August-January (with the potential for a SuperBowl), but the Marlins' presence would lend to a tenant being in the stadium from April-January, so you can assume his stance has softened dramatically (my, what a year does), and I've yet to see how this proves Huizenga is pulling strings in the Senate with a Senator from North Central Florida (Lee), yet he refuses to pull strings with a Senator from South Florida. Even Marlins2003 simply speculated that the comment was construed to mean that the Marlins were wanted out of South Florida, and remember, this is a paraphrased recount of David Samson, and if there ever was a man prone to hyperbole, it's Samson. Try again.

Try again. 760610 So he wanted them out back then and now he wants them to stay?....I thought you said he never said that...which is? and of course what Wayne does behind the scene is not going to be made public. You think he wants that out in the press? Hey like I said you have you beliefs and I have mine. I know one thing there won't be a dry eye at the Huizenga household when this stadium deal fall through. And by the looks of it that makes alot of you very happy. Thats sad 760622 Your poor sentence structure has stumped me...I don't know where you're going with it, but I never said that he wants them back, nor did you give me any evidence that he wanted them out. If you try reading my post, I said that I would speculate that in the even Wayne decides to go ahead with his sports world, it would make sense for him to have the Marlins there, but I never said he wanted them back definitively, not once. And your conspiracy theorist stuff is getting nauseating, sure he works behind the scenes, but as I've said, you can take it from me, a person whose campaign he has directly contributed to has not been contacted to vote against the proposal, and wouldn't it make sense to kill any support from Palm Beach/Broward county before trying to kill North and Central Florida's support for a regional issue? And this does not make me happy, it pisses me off that it seems any team that wants a stadium can get one, but a franchise that has been as successful as ours has to jump through hoops. I'm simply saying that I understand the way the political cookie crumbles, and its sad that the Marlins ownership group doesn't. They wanted the money last year, it didn't work, so all they did this year was send a blueprint and the city of Miami instead, they sure didn't help their cause asking for an amount of money roughly equal to the contract they gave their prize free agent aquisition this offseason. Yes, I understand it's a tax exemption and not a direct handout, but if they were so convinced that this franchise would become insolvent without a new stadium, don't you find it a little odd that they'd go get a first-baseman instead?

I've stated over and over again why did WH want them out back in the spring and now he wants them back?

However, when you force your opinion on others and then call them out and claim they are not Marlins fans because they won't stop being Dolphins fans and enjoy the games on Sunday at the stadium when season starts, that makes you a joke. Obviously you are choosing to be ignorant on the subject with Swift now, basically admitting defeat and showing that you know your back is to the wall. As for the end of the second paragraph and the third, go back and re-read Swift's posts, because I know you can not be that ignorant to misunderstand that much.

I'm vague with some of my post b/c sometimes its third party info when I get. As i've explain in the past I'm not Beinfest nor do I work for the Marlins. I'm close to alot scouts and coaches. As you've seen in the past I have always praise those in the field. I've stop posting rumors b/c of that fact. People want to hear all the info or not hear it at all. So I've stop As for Hemmi comment, some of what he said had merit.I didn't know who he was I simple agree
May 2, 200521 yr Since you just pulled a Sammy Sosa and forgot English under pressure, here you go: http://www.marlinbaseball.com/forums/index...ic=36618&st=575 Whoever said its the wife, he's right....BUT A couple of months back Delgado, Beltran and other famous people got together for a modeling show(they were involved) in PR. Delgado and Beltran were talkin after the show about playing together. So this could be him owning it to his friend to at least listen to the Mets...just a thought There is no wife :plain ...we found that out later. Also I don't know if this has been brought up, but if this deal with Delgado does through. More moves could be on the horizon....trades Yup, we sure did a ton of dealing after Delgado. AND WAIT A MINUTE, I thought you claimed you did work for the Marlins, claiming that the picture in your avatar was your ring. Something's fishy...
