Albuquerque Isotopes right-hander Frank Castillo used to be an "Idiot." Castillo pitched one scoreless inning in two games with the Boston Red Sox last year. Then he returned to Pawtucket, the Red Sox's Class AAA affiliate, finishing the season with a 10-9 record and a 4.38 earned-run average.

It was as short a major league appearance as a player can have, but Castillo was rewarded for his time in Boston two weeks ago when the Red Sox sent him a 2004 World Series ring, according to THE TIMES-PICAYUNE.

Now, Castillo is hoping to return to the majors with the Florida Marlins via Albuquerque, and he has been pitching well enough to get a promotion.

I talked to Sandy Martinez in Spring Training, he only played 4 games last year and he said he was supposed to get one too.

Do you know how much one of those elitist New England millionaires would pay for that thing?

Yes, all of the clubhouse personnel get a WS ring.
