Posted May 15, 200520 yr There is a serious problem with our offence nobody can produce any runs for our pitchers. Can somebody please tell me what's going on with Delgado? I wonder if he took roids when he played for the Jays. I know this is a different league and he doesn't know any of the the pitcher, but when Beltran came to the Astros from the Royals he did seem to have any problem. :mischief2
May 15, 200520 yr Not such a smart post...Our offense and Delgado aren't doing bad. Delgado is hitting over .300, he's not doing bad. Please stop with the steroids. He'll start hitting home runs, don't worry about it. And you can see his power when he hits the ball HARD all over the field a lot of times. Our offense isn't doing bad. We just did bad because we were facing Peavy...his stats: last year: 15-6, 2.27 this year: 3-0 2.57

He still has power. Some guys take longer to adjust to new leagues and power usually shows up last if the player is hitting for a good average. Plus, he's probably trying to do too much right now. With the exception of Miguel and Lo Duca, no one in the lineup is giving him much help right now. We really need Castillo back.

May 15, 200520 yr Enc has looked terrible lately and JP has been really inconsistent. Castillo was swinging it well before he got injured.
May 15, 200520 yr mother f***in dick licking taint sniffing whores!!!!! take a break from accusing everyone of juicing. this mccarthyism is driving me nuts. don't ever mention someone's name in connection with steroids unless there has been a personal source privvy to the individual's personal habits. it's ridiculously f***in irresponsible. i'm usually a cordial poster, but i can't stand this garbage. making unsubstantiated claims starts rumors and has the potential to really affect someone's reputation. as fans of the marlins and their players we should not be irresponsible about it. if someone ever fails a test then we can talk about it. or if a player's former lover or what have you leaks information then we can talk about it. but until then take it easy with the slandering of people's reputation

There is only so much Delgado/Cabrera can do on their own. You add in the fact that Pierre is struggling and that until tonight Lo Duca (the only other hitter doing much lately) is hitting behind them and doesn't give them a chance to hit him in, it leaves Delgado in a very bad place. No one above him is getting on base and he has to hit a home run to get an RBI. That has to be a lot of pressure on his shoulders, IMO. I wouldn't mind seeing if Conine can play third and give him some ABs.

May 15, 200520 yr Dude. It might not be slander legally, but by the dictionary definition of the word, it's slander. By the way I had a whole lot of Knob Creek Kentucky Bourbon.

EDIT: Lo Duca got on base once tonight. Delgado got on base twice.  2. Castillo has been leaving games early prior to his latest absence. 3. Cabrera has been the clean up hitter for a while. Unless all the box scores and in-game stat trackers are wrong, it is impossible for Delgado to EVER hit Cabrera in when he bats one spot behind him. 4. Pierre is in a slump. His batting average has dropped over 30 points in the last couple of weeks. I haven't seen him strike out this much in a while.

Knob Creek runs a shade under 30 bucks for a 750, but it's 100 proof. It has really nice flavor and is pretty smooth. If you ever have the money to spend and see it, you should try some Booker's Kentucky Bourbon. That stuff is wonderful. Smooth and 110 proof. *smacks lips*

Also, today he was 1-3 with a walk. He got on base 2 times. And in the last game of the series with the Astros he went 1-3 with a walk as well.  Pierre in last 2 games 2-6 with 2 walks. That's not slumping!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 15, 200520 yr 1.? I edited it.? He was 1 for 4.? My what a lot of chances Delgado has had to drive in Lo Duca this year.? ONE FREAKIN' TIME!? What a failure Delgado is not to drive him in that one time. 2.? Castillo has left several games prior to the end of the game.? And, in relevance to my initial post sticking up for Delgado and CALLING for our need for him to get healthy, he ain't done a damn thing lately to let Delgado drive him in.? He's been on the bench while Easley plays. 3.? Dude, what are you on?? Please show me the last lineup that Delgado was #4 and Cabrera was #3.? That was a while ago.? Most of the time Delgado was #4, he had a higher batting average than Cabrera.? Since Cabrera started to heat up, we moved Delgado to #3 because of the shift defenses were using against Delgado. 4.? How many times has he struck out in the past couple of games?? He's had to have struck out at least 3 times in the last three games.? He's been struggling lately.? I love Pierre, but to act like Delgado has had him on base a lot of times recently to knock him in is a damn joke. Next..... :shifty
