Congrats to Manny, Go Sox, but they lose 5-4 to Seattle.

Congradulations!

He is now all alone ranked #39 for all-time home runs.

He was tied with Al Kaline and Andres Galarraga.

Duke Snider is next infront of Manny with 407 home runs.

:thumbup

Now lets just work on that average buddy....

Big accomplishment there.

Way to go Manny.

:notworthy

Man Ram

Do you guys think he'll enter the 500 club?

I think he can.

Congrats Manny next stop 500 club or aka 1st ballot HOF

He was the 5th fastest player to reach 400 HR's.

Quickest:

1st=Mark McGwire (4,726 at-bats)

2nd=Babe Ruth (4,854),

3rd=Harmon Killebrew (5,300) and

4th= Jim Thome (5,416).

I'm not a big superstar guy, but Manny flat out owns.

Congrats to a future 1st balloter.

Very impressive. Here's to him getting up to 600+.

Manny is good

I never gave a shat about a left fielders defense, especially his, since his 320 average, 40 knocks, and 125 RBIs overshadowed it...I still wont if he gets back to .300.

Im giving him a free pass for a bit as his mother is very ill and concentrating on baseball isnt at the very top of his list right now.

His defense was never that great. He's a great hitter that might let in a run or two but will drive in 3 or 4 of his own. Super player. Kudos on 400.

Congrats Manny. Thx for raising the value of my rookie card a few more cents. :mischief

Maybe he'll start running to first base when he hits a ground ball...

Unlike a certain outfielder.

Manny takes too much heat for his defense. Unlike a lot of superstars who are poor defenders, Manny at least appears to give a s**t out there, it just turns out he's not very good at it.

And he MORE than makes up for his defensive shortcomings at the plate....
