I just needed to make a note that al leiter pitched a solid outing on saturday. This is why in the future whne tlaking about him, we need to remmeber this game the same way we remember the bad ones. He lost the game, although he pitched well, which also shows why W-L is not telling.

What we want is consistancy. He'll have a game like Saturday and then go out next outing and be blown out of the water.

...just like the 2004 Dontrelle Willis.

Except the 2004 dontrelle willis wasn't getting paid 8 million bucks to do it.

same can be said for Burnett, both Leiter and A.J. have pitched some close games that couldnt be blamed on them.

AJ has been much better than Leiter, despite their W-L records. If playoffs began today, AJ would be our #3 guy most likely whereas Leiter probably wouldn't be in it.

If the playoffs started today, we wouldn't be in, but I get where you're going.

However, I think that a rotation of Beckett/Willis/Burnett/Leiter is what we'll do if we make the playoffs. That righty lefty thing is effective, and Moehler/Valdez could become valuable long relievers.

If the playoffs started today Moehler should be the #4, not Leiter.
