Just having a new stadium doesn't always keep bringing the fans in. It does wear off after a couple of years especially if a team is not winning or at least exciting to watch. Take the Orioles and even the Pirates. PNC Park in Pittsburgh is my favorite place to watch a game. It has a beautiful view of the city and to be honest Pittsburgh has really cleaned up it's act and is a great city to visit IMO.

A new stadium should help the Marlins mainly because of the heat and the rain!

If the stadium does get built parking will quickly become an issue. No way the present and planned parking around the stadium will be sufficient for 38K fans. This will become another excuse for fans not to attend.

that guy with the signs was at the game last night he was holding two that said NEED STADIUM !!!!!!!! and one saying marlin country when the lineups wwere being announced

Yawn. People from elsewhere crapping on Florida teams despite their own teams drawing nothing in new downtown ballparks.
