"I want to be here," Mondesi told the paper. "But if they're going to trade me, Miami would be good." The Marlins, who continue to close the wild-card gap on Philadelphia, have spoken to the Yankees about Mondesi, who is in the final year of his contract. Mondesi is earning $13 million this season, but more than half that is being paid by Toronto, meaning the Marlins would be on the hook for only about $3 million for the second half. I'd like to get another starter and move Pavs to the pen. But right now, if we could only do one trade, I'd take an arm over a bat.

July 28, 200323 yr compared to the other 4 guys, Reggie isnt even in teh same leauge.. Reggie has a low Batting Average of 256, i am VERY SURE in FACT i could bet MY LIFE OPn it that By the time Septemeber rolls by, Miggy will be batting much hiigher than Reggie, infact i think Miggy can bat 285-300 by Septemeber and not to mention he is Mentally Stable and Cocky with RISP as is Reggie... but Miggy is coming into his own... like i said if we cant get Juan,Trot, Brain, or Vlad screw it ...... Ill be honest with ya, why Fix a Offense that isnt even bad??? every guy has his on special way..... if at anything at all... LB should be getting a another guy in the PEN..... world is we are thinking about Bringing Vlad Nuniez back up so he can Earn his 1.4 MIL this year...... Man "THAT SCARES the s*** outta me"
