I gave up on Sports talk radio a long time ago. While the Marlins have been getting decent percentage of calls, it's not would it should be. The morning show with Howard David is horrible and has a ton of commercials. Ferrell is entertaining no matter what he talks about, plus he won't talk about the Dolphins that much. Jim Mandich and Hank Goldberg bores me to death(enough with the gambling talk), as does Ed Kaplan(more gambling talk).

I'm a Dolphins fan, but the fans down here are obsessed with football. And they don't even talk about the right issues. The big one is the Griese/Feidler debate. In my eyes, there should be no debate. Feidler's won-loss record is awesome, and Griese is coming off a bad year. It's Feidler's job unless he stops winning. But the fans still call and talk about that instead of the wide receiver or other needs. Not only that, but its like the same 5 losers who call these shows everyday. The only other callers are people who want free tickets. A bunch of free-loaders. It only costs 4 bucks for Marlins tickets. Sure the parking is expenseive, but its not the current Marlins ownerships fault they're in a bad deal with Joe Robbie Stadium(I refuse to call it the other name, a bankrupt company no less).

 

So to be clear:

 

I like the Dolphins.

I hate the sports radio callers.

i love the callers who are upset that the 4th string LB got burned by the 8th string WR..... like the sky is falling

Hotcorner said something earlier about people getting excited about training camp, but its the same thing for Spring traning. who here doesnt get excited when late February comes?

i like football, don't get me wrong. nor do i "resent" the dolphins. i'd love for the marlins to get that kind of passion from the fans, but that's to be expected since the dolphins have been around so long and have been a winner so long.

At the same time, you don't see Marlin jerseys popping up all over stores when spring training approaches, but I can't stop seeing teal and orange in any sports store, in spite of the fact that the Marlins are, what?, did I hear correctly?, 1 game out of the Wild Card? Oooh, okay - yeah definitely - NFL Training Camp is more important.
