Cabrera

Just wondering if anybody else has noticed the way My man Cabrera has been batting he seems to not be as aggresive.

I know it is kind of early to think about this but I hope it did not affect him getting hit in the face.

Keep turing in those all-star ballots so we can get Cabrera starting in the All-Star game.

He hit a couple balls hard yesterday.

He hit it pretty good after they walked Del with the basses full...

And to the opposite field no less...I'd tend to say that a line drive going the other way is a sign that things can't be going too badly for him at the plate.

miguel will come out of this mini slump hes in without a doubt. and mike lowell is getting his swing back little by little.

He'll come out of this before the homestand is over

I hope he comes out soon. If he goes into a slump too for a long time like Mikey this team is in trouble :(

And we need the bats against texas! They are monsters blaylock, texiera, soriano, young!

you never know what a hit like that will do to a batter. in 2003 sosa got beamed in the head and it took him a while to get back to his original form. i think that the hit had some effect, even if subconcious. it might have messed with his approach a little because he has admitted that hes begun his old habits of over swining which causes a lot of strikeouts. he should get out of it quick though.

I think you guys are making a big deal out of this slump for nothing. In our slump we've been pitching like crap, so even if he would have been hitting it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Also, he's still hit the best on our team this season despite us acquiring Delgado. This small bad slide is just being recognized because of the way he was hitting prior to it. He went back and forth leading the NL in BA iwth Derrek Lee and now that he's been on this slide and has dropped out from the race for the best BA hitting .330 isn't good enough.

He was due for a bad slide like this, and since he's a good hitter it won't last long, so don't worry.

And o yeah-- Him getting hit in the face has nothing to do with it.
