Posted June 12, 200519 yr Today would have been interseting if we tied the game in the ninth inning. Paul LoDuca replaced Treanor and was thrown out after arguing balls and strikes. If we would have tied it, someone would have had to catch. :mischief2
June 13, 200519 yr thanks rotoworld. 807166[/snapback] From Rotoworld: Paul Lo Duca - C - Marlins Paul Lo Duca was ejected from today's game in the ninth inning for arguing balls and strikes. He was pinch-hitting for Matt Treanor in the bottom of the ninth. If the Marlins had caught up and sent the game into extra innings, it would have been very interesting to see who would have caught. Joe Dillon was probably the emergency catcher, but he had already hit. Carlos Delgado, a catcher in the minors, would have been the best choice, but the Marlins wouldn't have wanted to risk using him. Jun. 12 - 4:51 pm et

BTW sorry about the rant in the game thread, guys.
June 13, 200519 yr last year Mordecai had to catch a game in emergency. Nothing special really just uusual.
June 13, 200519 yr Easley, one of the best utility men in baseball, would have gotten the job done for an inning or two.
June 13, 200519 yr I would hope they wouldn't have used Delgado, he caught two games way back in the 90's and there was a reason for that. My guess to the emergency catcher would be Dillon, he has the least to lose. I mean if he gets hurt he's still getting MLB money while rehabbing.
