I used to say that...he is better right handed, but you have to keep in mind that he may be better off left-handed vs righty pitchers than right-handed vs righty pitchers. You never know if his success against lefties would duplicate against righties.

His career and recent averages from the left side are every bit as good as the right. The pop is nice, but no reason to mess with it.

He has more power righty but i can never imagine louie never batting lefty, i always love those infield hits and he hits over .300 every year so why switch?

i'm glad that luis finally got a homerun this year.

I always thought he was a lot more patient batting LH.. maybe its just me.

 

Nonetheless, I think everyone saw last night how important it is to our offense that Luis and JP get on base.

Luiy lefty and righty are two different hitters. From the left he takes more pitches and just puts it where there's a hole. From the right he hacks.
