June 15, 200521 yr Where is this team's eye of the tiger? Yes, it is a long season, yes, the Marlins are above .500 but I think they are much better than what the record says. Offense has been spotty, the defense has been wayyy too sloppy all year. Too many bonehead decisions/mistakes. Does this team look like it knows how to put other teams away? Do they have a winning mentality? Do they look like they want to win? I seriously cannot answer this since I rely on GameDay for most of the games. I ask this to those who get to watch every game. This is only based on the few games I got to watch this year so please prove me wrong with some good facts... Discuss...
June 15, 200521 yr Chemistry is not there. I have to agree with the :anon Marlin player. cough cough 'Mikey
June 15, 200521 yr They haven't shown they can beat winning teams this year aside from Washington. With a winning consistency at least.
June 15, 200521 yr Author The point of my thread was not to cry doom and gloom, but from my perspective this team needs to pull together and exude a winning mentality, even if that means shaking up the team/trades/demotions/promotions/etc. From what i saw today of the Cubs game I just wanted to throttle most of the team for how quick they started playing half-assed when Mitre was shutting them down and how it developed into a defeatest attitude. I didn't like what I saw tonight.
June 15, 200521 yr We are out of the slump, but we need to have a winning streak to make up for it. I want an 8 game winning streak starting tomorrow.
June 15, 200521 yr Hey if the natinals can do it i think we can pull a 15 game winning streak 810121 I'd say anything less than winning 25 out of the next 29 is inexcusable.
June 15, 200521 yr We are out of the slump 810116 If we were out of the slump, we would not have lost by 14 runs en route to SERGEI f***ING MITRE of all people pitching a complete game shutout against us in one of the most hitter friendly parks in all of baseball.
