I just included Encarnacion to up the offer.

Lo Duca Gonzalez Biggest problem with this offense is the 5-6 holes -- pitchers know they can pitch around Delgado and Miguel in crucial spots because Lowell and Encarnacion flat out stink. If they don't turn it around, somthing needs to be done, wether it be Conine/Dillon/Willingham or someone outside the organization is up to Beinfest.

If you struggle for a couple of games that doesnt mean that you should change the lineup right away give people time to set in let the baserunners learn the habits of the hitter at the plate. That is needed for a good offense and changing the lineup every three days doesnt work. if you notice most of our big innings dont come on singles they come in on Power hitting. Give the lineup a chance

June 19, 200521 yr Only move I would make would be to drop JP in the linup and move Conine, LoDuca or Lowell into the #2 spot. And stick with it for awhile.
June 19, 200521 yr i would keep Jp in the leadoff everyday till he gets his shyt straight, we know he can hit weve seen it with our own eyes. Bat him there everyday and wait for him to come out of it, putting him in another spot doesnt help us beacuse when we go to put him back at leadoff he wont be used to it and will struggle.

I thought in combination to losing, which we were doing with the lineup posted below, it contributed to clubhouse disharmony. So rather than make real changes, Jack converted these 8 guys to his side by promising them a set starting role.

It has been stated many times on this forum that guys need to know their roles and that they should perform in said roles. Well, with a set line up, pretty much set bull pen rotation over the last few weeks and less criticism, the players themselves have to prove their value. Lets face it, we win when Pierre gets on base.
June 19, 200521 yr Yep. I didn't mean Jack was at fault for not making changes. He tried many things to spark this bunch unsuccessfully and returned to something every bit as unsuccessful at a point of desperation.
