July 31, 200323 yr Author You live in SW Florida. You don't even get WQAM. Yes I do. I get WQAM most of the day clearly on 560 AM from almost any radio in the house and in the car. We also have the "sister" station WWCN which has jumped onto the Yankees Network and doesn't air every Marlins game. I lived in Miami for many years and know that WQAM's talent is basically crap. The only one I see on the roster of talent that is worth anything is Zagaki, Ferrall, and Joe and Marc. The others are just crap. Neil Rogers used to run on WWCN but got kicked off because he was widely hated for his stupid show.

Rogers is on QAM because his numbers usually blow every other show out of the water. 24 hours of sports talk gets boring. It's why Ferrell is doing so well too. How does Zagaki have any talent? Nice enough guy, I'm sure, but he's the worst radio voice ever. His Hurricane broadcasts are terrible. I want Mark Vandermeer back from the Texans... wow I agree with Odom too. Mandich sucks. Even when he analyzes football he dogs it. Never has any information prepared, never knows any stats, everyone's impressed that he can say "well when I played...." Joe Rose does a better show than Mandich. Also Joe & Marc do a decent show and Ed Kaplan refuses to talk Dolphins while the Marlins are in the race right now so he gets my vote too.
July 31, 200323 yr Author Zagaki is good for play-by-play. His voice is more for TV, but he stills calls lots of sports very well.
July 31, 200323 yr Cape I will grant you that he KNOWS lots of sports, and he's got good knowledge of players & info, but personally I think he's a pretty bad voice for radio, play by play or otherwise. Even worse when he does a show. Just my opinion tho'.
July 31, 200323 yr Didn't Zagaki used to do the Marlin's pre-game show. Well...Mabye it wasn't the pre-game show but I know he did a show with the Marlin's...Was it like a "Marlin's week in review show?"
July 31, 200323 yr Author I think so 97Fish. WQAM has pretty much killed off every Marlins program except On Deck, 10th Inning Show, and The Actual Game.
