I was just curious to know which of our favorite Fish will finish the season with the highest batting average... In April, Cabs and Duca were on FIRE. In May, Delgado started warming up, and JP completely fizzled. In June, Cabs has begun his decline, and Luis has ascended at a frantic pace. There are only two players on the team that I am certain will finish above .300: Luis Castillo Miguel Cabrera. Carlos is on a hot streak, and I doubt he'll keep this up all year. It is definitely a possibility for him to round out the year at or above .300. JP is playing far too poorly as of now for me to give him any props whatsoever. The worst part is that there is no indication that he'll snap out of the funk any time soon. Cabs has dropped about 50 points in the past few weeks, but I'll be damned if a #3 hitter can maintain a .390 clip for an entire season. A Gon and Enc will both finish around .265-.270, and Duca will have his typical second half struggles. Should we even discuss Mikey now? I'm thinking .260 would be a great ending point for him. Anyway, I was tired of watching the game tonight, because Atlanta is making the Marlin's look like a retarded little league team--and I really don't have much else to talk about.

June 22, 200521 yr I think Cabrera, Castillo, Delgado, and maybe but probably not Lo Duca will finish the year over .300 Cabrera's BA is .336--he's going to have to take a really big hit to go under .300 and stay there. And he's only getting better--gaining experience, confidence...etc. He hit right under .300 last season, and this season he's clearly MUCH better. Delgado's BA is .324, and he's been getting hott, due to being more familiar facing teams, pitchers...so expect him to stay hott and stay over .300--and of corase, .24 over is very comfortable to stay over .300 Castillo's BA is .329--he's been on FIRE as you guys know, and will hopefully continue. And he's a leadoff type hitter who hits for AVG, so you can expect him to have a high BA at the end of the season like he does now. Lo Duca's BA is .292 and at the beginning he was on fire, and then he cooled down, like he usually does. My guess is that he won't have a BA over .300 at the end of the season, but since he's close, he has a chance. He's only had 1 year where he hit over .300 anyways, so he doesn't really hit good AVG wise.
June 22, 200521 yr 34-33 after tonight, simply a disgrace, i equate them to the mariners last year, but they have so much more talent its not fair to the '04 Mariners. I really hope they can pull together a decent season maybe even make a run at the wildcard.

June 22, 200521 yr Pierre should just bunt more and stop thinking hes going to get his average back up with one swing. Hes thinking about his average to much. The Marlins just seem like a bunch of emotional repressed guys when they score. They do jack sh!t for about 5 games, then score in double digits in the next game. :confused Thats what I call inconsistent.
