June 30, 200521 yr I don't mind Lo Duca's comments at all -- he isn't ripping any of us -- the diehards know who they are and we all attend games when/if possible. He's calling out the typical Miami fan -- the bandwagon-jumping fan that pretends the team doesnt even exist when they are down, but act like they've been a fan for years when they succeed. It's sickening to see 30k empty seats during the regular season and come playoff time, we set records in attendance. where were all those fans during the season? why didnt they support the team then? why arent they supporting them now? Good for Paul, those "fans" deserve it. It may make us look bad as well, but we know where our loyalties are and thats all that matters.
June 30, 200521 yr I hope he didn't say it in a mocking way. Also, it bugs me how there are so many fans who show up to the world series but very few to the regular games. If I lived in Florida, I would have season tickets all the time. I really wish we could get a good fan base. The new stadium gap would easily be paid if we could consistently get about 39,000 fans per game. Last night's game had way too many Braves fans. They sounded just as loud as the Marlins fans on TV.
June 30, 200521 yr He meant 5000 fans that actually know whats going on.. the other 20K are girls that are in love with Miguel or somethin...
