This team is run by idiots

I'll never understand why Delgado hits 4th and Cabrera hits 3rd. Delgado is a better hitter with protection behind him, and Cabrera is a better hitter with people before him putting pressure on the pitcher.

Delgado 3/4

AB - 144/150

AVG - .326/.273

OBP - .407/.379

OPS - 1.018/.859

R - 21/23

RBI -31/27

HR - 9/7

K - 31/27

BB -18/20

Cabrera 3/4

AB - 153/145

AVG - .314/.372

OBP - .376/.421

OPS - .938/1.021

R - 28/27

RBI - 36/22

HR - 10/6

K - 30/24

BB - 16/15

It is idiotic not to have Delgado in the third spot and Cabrera in the fourth spot.

thats the least of our worries

Our big issues are Beckett's health and our offense. The biggest part to our offense is Castillo/Delgado/Cabrera. I'd say the position they hit in is something to worry about.

Interesting numbers

What are the splits though with Lowell batting fifth as opposed to Enc batting fifth? Something tells me that alot of Miguelito's ABs came with Enc behind him, while Delgado was being "protected" by Lowell. Cabs in that case would be sandwiched in between two solid hitters as opposed to Carlos who had a great hitter in front of him and then his grandmother standing in the batter's box but doing nothing behind him.

I remember when the 7 - 8 and 9 spot was the black hole of the line-up, seems like it's spread upward a bit this year to just below the 4 spot

Juanky,

I'm not sure about those specific numbers. I'm sure some stathead can find them, but I have no clue where to look. I got the numbers from Yahoo's fantasy baseball player profiles.

Malman,

No retraction. This should have been done long ago. I'm just glad they finally saw the light. Hopefully Delgado will start to hit again. :thumbup

I find it suspicious that this is posted one day and then the next day the line up is changed. Someone in the FO might have seen these numbers and mentioned them to a high ranking official.

I don't know if that really happened or not, but I'll take the credit anyway. :lol

Hmmmm...it is suspicious like that reporter from one of the newspapers that used a quote from this site in one of his interviews. I hope that brought Bill Robinson everything that we mentioned about flaws in Mike Lowell's hitting techniques the other day. I'd love for him to start applying them.

wyatt sexton, it was only a joke.

What is the joke? Wyatt Sexton or ... Ernie Sims?

Or was it Chris Rix parking in the handicap spot?

Or was it Janikowski and his date rape drugs side business?

Or was it Peter Warrick and his Dillards discount?

Or was it ...
