Michael
Alex Gonzalez intentional walk yesterday took 41 minutes, due to the rain.
miami15
I bet there have been some that have been like two days. :confused
UCFBocaGuy
I was just looking at this... Alex has more walks then JP. I'm just in awe about that and Al is only 6 away from matching last years walk total. Patience is a virtue.
Accord
Back in the old days before they played night games, if it got too dark the game would be called if it was after 5 innings or they'd finish it the next day, so i'm sure there were some at bats, IBB's, etc. that took at least a day plus. Michael
Did Alex get eye surgery in the offseason like Enc did?

I'm just amazed that last year, they'd swing at stuff that was 4 feet out of the zone. Now they're watching ones that are 3 inches off the plate go by for balls.. Gotta be a good breaking ball hitter..
JonDigital
alex is the perfect 8 spot hitter. he is a very free swinger so he has a better time making contact on crap pitches he might get since he is before the pitcher. it was only a matter of time until he found a more patient eye at the plate which is translating into more walks. glad we have some decent hitting pitchers.
