Mark
What's with the attitude of this team? Polanco gets intentionally hit tonight (please no one try and argue this) and apparantly it was because the Rays backup catcher, Kevin Cash (a sub.200 avg) was hit last night in the middle innings with nobody on (plus it was the middle of the count). So Tigers pitcher Nate Robertson throws behind Crawford and gets tossed with no warning. Kazmir was never given a warning. Retarted. I guess you try and show balls by hitting batters for no reason when you've got 27 wins.
rferry
The Rays have led (or been close) the majors in hit batters since they came into the league
Mark
The Rays have led (or been close) the majors in hit batters since they came into the league 847393[/snapback] Well, a lot of that has to do with the quality of their pitching staff over the years I would think. It just seems as if they get in a lot of plunking wars. It's stupid. And it was stupid for Robertson to get involved tonight for the Tigers...I guess he was just trying to look out for the newly acquired Polanco. Maybe Schilling did have a point earlier in the season. :mischief2
Passion
Wow....and the Sox were thugs when they got pissed at this team. Now you will know what I was talking about Mark... Im sick of the D-Rays trying to upstage better teams by beaning them and trying to be tough. Actually win some games Tampa Bay and people will take you seriously. That's what baseball is all about!

The Kevin Cash beaning last night was not intentional. Plus it was by Sean Douglass, the Tigers recently called up career minor league pitcher. Pitches will get away from you from time to time. But I will definitely disagree with Lou's mindset if he did this to the Cubs or the Yankees. Baseball isnt to be played like this...

EndLine
I don't know about you guys but when my team played against Monsingor Pace about a year ago they were embarassing us. They were up by maybe 11-14 runs and started saying these smartass remarks in their dugouts. I being a catcher asked my pitchers to plunk two of their batters this inning. One of their batters got plunked in the head(his helmet came off) and I sat back and laughed my ass off. DIRTY BASEBALL
FIUMarlinfan
There will be better days I guess. But yeah, ive said it a million times before, Lou is a s***ty manager. I understand your anger, but no need to take it out on the players or fans. Not the players(and fans fault) fault the owner cashes in 35 mllion and doesnt put a penny into the pitching staff. They do as their manager orders them to do.
