Told some of you that Bowden is a good GM.

He assembled most of that team.

He did take the freaking Montreal Expos and turned them into the NL East leading team at the All-Star break...Right now he is the executive of the year...

It helps that Nick Johnson, Jose Vidro and their entire rotation has been mostly healthy this year, and that they only have to play 81 road games.

Only division rivals could argue that Bowden hasnt done a good job...

Vidro has played in 35 games this year...he hasnt been healthy.

Nick Johnson is currently on the 15 day DL and has missed 15 games already. His career highs before this season were 15 HRS and 58 RBIs with a .284 average...not exactly a huge talent.

He has done a tremendous ammount fo good to a once hapless franchise...

I really dont see what Bowden has done.... as OEO has said, all he did was inherit the team.

Ill give him the Guillen trade, but even then, Termell Sledge is a very solid player, and they gave up Maicer Izturis

the Castilla signing isnt so bad but the Guzman one is horrendous.

Yeah, fans of division rivals who saw the good talent of the 2002-3 team besides Vald Guerrero and saw the 2004 wrecked with injuries to their best players would think that the team was due for a huge improvement regardless of the efforts of their new GM.

People have made a lot of the Nats' injury woes this year, but almost all the critical injuries have been to role players and replacement-level talent. I'd take all those injuries before I take a nagging injury to one of my better players.
