July 14, 200519 yr it doesnt make him a good GM b/c of that. it makes him lucky i remember lo duca homering his first pitch and at bat with the Marlins aswell. didnt take them to the playoffs that year either.
July 14, 200519 yr Told some of you that Bowden is a good GM. He assembled most of that team. 854989 So its a good trade because of one at bat? *sigh* Anyways good job Preston, was one of my fav Marlins at one point
July 14, 200519 yr Paul Lo Duca his a homerun in his his first AB as a fish. He's hit four since. 855209 haha...that's quite a burn.

July 15, 200519 yr Nationals - 52-37 Marlins - 44-43 Talk about Bowden all you want. Don't know how long the Nats will stay in 1st but it looks pretty good right now.

Vidro has played in 35 games this year...he hasnt been healthy. Nick Johnson is currently on the 15 day DL and has missed 15 games already. His career highs before this season were 15 HRS and 58 RBIs with a .284 average...not exactly a huge talent. He has done a tremendous ammount fo good to a once hapless franchise...

Bowden does a good job.
July 15, 200519 yr Bowden hasn't done much at all. The Guillen acquisition was fantastic, outside of that the Guzman and Castilla signings were horrendous. All Bowden did for the most part was inherit this team. He's a terrible gm.
July 15, 200519 yr I really dont see what Bowden has done.... as OEO has said, all he did was inherit the team. Ill give him the Guillen trade, but even then, Termell Sledge is a very solid player, and they gave up Maicer Izturis the Castilla signing isnt so bad but the Guzman one is horrendous.

People have made a lot of the Nats' injury woes this year, but almost all the critical injuries have been to role players and replacement-level talent. I'd take all those injuries before I take a nagging injury to one of my better players.
