BOTHFISHFAN
Has anyone thought of the fact, that maybe b/c of the humidity(causing his blister problem) in Miami, that beckett could be used as a mid-relief or closer. Look at John Smoltz, Rob Nen, and Mariano Rivera. They were all starters with not that much success (other than Smoltz), and they have extended there careers by becoming closer. There even other starters converted to closers (Dennis Eckersly, Jason Isringhousen, DAnny Graves, Shawn Chacon) just to name a few. Then maybe we could possibly keep Burnett as a starter along with Willis, Olsen, Moehler, and possibly Vargas. That would make a interesting five, and incase one goes down we could still count on Beckett for one or two starts. I think that would be a good scenerio for both. Plus, that Marlins are deep in the minors in starting pitching.
Ramp
I dont see how having him throw every other day helps his blister condition
