And when we had the Angel/O'Brien split it added not only a break but the TV commentary had more of a radio play-by-play and less of the kick-back talk about yourself diatribe. Van Horne brings something to the table. I like him. Don't understand the criticism. We can't have Joe Angel back. He's not leaving the big market Giants. And O'Brien is not going to go backwards now. (And Goldie and Minervini are unacceptable.) But, surely, there's another local non-QAM announcer with knowledge and vitality who would appreciate the opportunity.

Thank You Arnie. I agree, we need to work with what we have for next season and that will be Van Horne, Kasper and Hutton. (Minervini is pregame host only) In previous seasons we had a similar situation with Angel, O'Brien, and Hutton. (Randolph was pregame host only)

The rotation would be like 1997 and be nice. I doubt Boog won't get the job, he likes the Mets and is a good talent. WFAN would have to have a very good reason not to hire him.

Radio, I wouldn't look good on TV. Plus I might screw up one of the TV cameras. And radio is the better medium for baseball anyways IMO.

And I have actually called an inning of Marlins play by play, back when they did that Budweiser Fantasy play by play in 1996. It was fun as s***.

I'm guessing he would get a nice pay raise and can lead to bigger things.

I wouldn't doubt it. They let kids do that stuff all the time. Hell, at the last Marlin game they had like a 13-year-old kid announcing the players when they went to bat.

Yeah I was 10 and it was awesome. In fact I wish I was ten again just so I could do that stuff again it was great (I don't know if they still do it anymore though).
