July 26, 200521 yr yankees get:jamie moyer randy winn marines get:melky cabrera carl pavano sean henn p.hughes this is from sporting news listen to sporting news radio on saturdays and u'll see. my friend called the preston wilson deal before it happened.
July 26, 200521 yr "MLB forum" wow the yanks really wanna turn it around old man Moyer can still hold his own and they get an above average CF in Winn that rotation would be on avg 56 years old
July 26, 200521 yr Looks like a pretty decent deal for the Mariners, As for the Yankees... why why why do they go after the oldest pitchers on the Market it doesnt make any sense to me. And they dont give any of their new aquisitions a chance, seriously Vazquez last year and now Pavano. At least if Pavano gets traded to SafeCo he will probably put up good numbers in that ultra pitching park.
July 26, 200521 yr If they had everyday eddie in there too it would be a fair deal. But, they are ripping the yanks for their 2 best prospects, plus pavano and melky

As for Henn...I WANTED SEAN HENN! Ok, now I am done.
July 26, 200521 yr Give 'em Encarnacion if they're willing to pay some of Pavano's salary, and then go and get something for Moehler. Getting Pavano back will be huge for our chances of resigning AJ, that alone gives Pavano such unbelievable value, not to mention the fact that he's still got 3 years left on his deal...
July 26, 200521 yr I would trade them Enc for Pavano and cash in a heartbeat. If they paid 3 mill a year down so we are pay 3 years 7 mill a year. I would do that without a "new york minute". (yeah bad pun).
July 26, 200521 yr If that goes through, it's an excellent deal for the Mariners. They get rid of an aging starter, and replace him with a younger starter, plus two good prospects (Cabrera and Hughes). For the Yankees, it reeks of desparation.
July 26, 200521 yr I don't thinking trading away Enc is a very good idea... Driving in runs has been a problem this year (well every year actually...) and sending our 3rd best rbi guy for a decent pitchers isin't going to make a lot of sense if you can't score the runs for him to be able to win.
July 29, 200521 yr ^ i remember the Topic poster making a thread elsewhere about a trade rumor that was 100% bull shyt so take this lightly however i overheard on ESPN Sportscenter when they were talking about the yankees they said they made a big win and a trade tonight.
