July 27, 200521 yr Ok, I liked the LA trade. If we didn't do that, we wouldn't have Enc this season, Mota has been a semi-bust but has gotten better as the season has progressed, and Lo Duca is better than a platoon or Redman/Treanor. Is that what people are mad about, Lo Duca taking away Willingham's playing time? We gave up essentially Choi and Penny, and if you saw the deal signed by Penny, this move made sense financially as well.
July 27, 200521 yr dont forget brian murphy. He could turn into a good player down the road. But I liked the deal too. I wish we would of gotten Pudge and Dlee over Lowell . But hindsight is 20/20 Dark Horse is someone with a slim chance to get something. AKA the Pirates or Angels in this case. Both would love AJ and have "slim chances" to get him. God put AJ on the angels staff they would be ungodly. They do have a deep bullpen to be able to give up someone and also have Santana and a good prospect. They could foot the bill. But, I doubt he would sign with them. Oh wells soon those 72 hour windows will be over anyways.

If we trade Burnett for Granderson and Maroth then Beinfest really is stupud and the deal will be even worse than what O's offered us. Also tell me how can the Marte, McCarthy dela be better than the Sanchez, Arroyo deal? This is the way I look at: Best prospect in all the deals offer to us? Sanchez Most potential? Sanchez Best MLB player? I would take Arroyo over Marte and Julio so he's my pick as well. I don't know what the Marlins are waiting for especially with the Pirates demanding for Hermida. Im also hearing trading Olsen a possibilty? Why would the FO do this? If tehy did wouldn't you say its retarded? Shamrock was talking about how a trade market was handled. Sheesh... can we have one decent discussion around here?
