August 21, 200520 yr What is the minimum amount of pitches that can be thrown in one game? ...think about it :mischief2
August 21, 200520 yr Author its not 27, think again... 27 pitches assuming each pitch is a first pitch out, that would be a 0-0 tie after nine... :mischief2
August 21, 200520 yr 52. 27 outs + 24 outs + HR= 52 pitches. Home team scores a run on a solo shot somewhere prior to the 9th.
August 21, 200520 yr 16 pitches .... 1st pitch of the game solo job... the next 15 pitches are 1st pitch outs... hurricane comes... game called on a count of rain but if you are counting both teams pitches then 31 pitches
August 21, 200520 yr Author the out of order thing threw a complete monkey wrench in this...but still not right even with that... yeah its 52...the solo shot has to be in there and it has to be from the hometeam prior to the ninth so theres no bottom of the ninth...thus the 27 outs of the visiting team...the 24 outs (eight innings) of the home team...and the solo home run... it took me forever to figure this out when someone asked me...it seems like an easy 27 but its not.... see ya
