August 23, 200520 yr Since coming off DL.... Last night: 7 IP - 4 H - 0 R - 3 BB - 5 SO -- 99 PIT (60 Strikes) His previous start: 6.1 IP - 4 H - 2 R - 1 BB - 2 SO -- 79 PIT (50 Strikes) Looks like he may have figured out how to pitch effectively
August 23, 200520 yr i thought he was going to be in some deep trouble after giving up 3 walks in the first inning.... turned out to be his only 3
August 23, 200520 yr  You have some balls making a pro-yankee post on MarlinsBaseball.com. Better be wearing your fireman suit and have a fire extinguisher nearby!

Better be wearing your fireman suit and have a fire extinguisher nearby! 912159 Great idea posting that, way to bring the topic OT quickly. Your post will just lead to you being attacked and consequently you saying it's because you are a Yankee fan. Wake up and realize this is a Florida Marlins fansite and if other teams aren't given fair shake all the time it probably makes some sense. As a fan of another team you should realize that and not make posts like this that will just lead to problems. There is no "yankeefanism" here or prejudice vs Yankee fans so stop acting like you are a victim.

I didn't post "I love Jeter" crap or anything remotely stupid. Get off your high horse.

August 23, 200520 yr Fishyguy, I shouldn't have taken this thread off-topic, point taken. But, I was not trying to be the "victim", I was just pointing out that in the end this was just going to turn into a Jaret Wright bash fest (WHICH IT WAS! See the last Al Leiter thread) because no one in their right mind is going to post positive Yankee sentiments. There is an anti-yankee bias, as there should be at a Marlins message board, but don't be naive. There IS one. Anytime I make a positive Yankee comment, I get slandered for the next 3 pages. Again, which is to be expected at an opposing teams fansite, especially a small market one. But you're right, it was unneccesary...on with the show. --- As far as Jaret Wright, he has certainly looked a lot different from early on in the season. He seems to have a lot more movement on his fastball - his two seamer that tails over the inside corner is just nasty - and has more control over all his pitches as a whole. Seeing him pre-injury, and post-injury - I really have to believe he wasn't healthy the whole year, until now.
August 23, 200520 yr Bryan, you officialy win the "ruin the Thread" award of the day. Turned a "props to Jaret Wright" topic into an anti-Yankee sentiment discussion.
August 27, 200520 yr And he comes back down to earth against the Royals today... 5 IP, 7 H, 5 ER 918001 4 innings of no run ball, he fell apart in the 5th - as Mike Mussina and Randy Johnson have done before him. Luckily, a 5 run 9th saves his bacon.
