August 12, 200321 yr Author Look at first half and second half, its not question Penny thus far That's why I picked him. Pavano and Redman had some strong outings, but Penny won key games against St. Louis and Arizona, I believe.
August 12, 200321 yr Yep, Penny. Didn't we have some Penny haters on the board pre-all-star-break? Seems as if they've sunken to the depths and rightfully so! Go Marlins!

August 12, 200321 yr Redman....he cant help it if he had a good 1st half too. He has been on fire this half! I would give it to Penny...but that bad start the other day still sits sour in my mouth...he has done very well this half though.

August 12, 200321 yr I'd go with Redman. He's been more consistent. Since the All-Star break, Redman is 3-1 in 5 starts with a 1.66 ERA and an excellent 0.95 WHIP. We've gone 4-1 in his 5 starts. All 5 of his starts have been Quality Starts. Penny has gone 2-3 in 5 starts with a 2.91 ERA. His WHIP of 1.03 is also outstanding. 3 of Penny's 5 starts have been Quality Starts. Penny has lost to the Cubs (1-0 to Wood), Braves, and Brewers while beating the Cards and Diamondbacks. Redman beat the Cubs, Diamondbacks, and Brewers and lost to Houston. He got a no-decision vs. the Braves in a game we won. It's close but I think Redman has done better since the break and, like Penny, he's gotten some big wins. At this point in the season, they're all big wins.
August 15, 200321 yr Since the Break: Â Redman 3-2 2.30 Beckett 2-2 2.84 Penny 2-3 2.91 Pavano 3-0 3.26 Willis 2-2 6.48
